The Ambulance Command Training School, Hong Kong Fire Services Department is introducted the "SimMan Universal Patient Simulator" in 2003. The Simulator connected a computer and a computer-regulated air compressor. It is not only to simulate patient's blood pressure, pulse, respiration and even saturated perfusion of oxygen. But the trainee also could to talk to the trainee by the computer system. The Simulator can simulate the abnormal breath / bowel sounds, heart rate and rhythm. It also allows altered range of month opening and laryngospasm. IV infusion, CS injection, CPR, AED, insertion of LMA, combitute and endotracheal intubation training are exceptionally suitable. |

If the trainee make approprate assessment and give the treatments correctly, the simulator's condition will improve, otherwise, its conditionwill deteriorate. The instructors can print out the computer records and discuss the performance with the trainee. |
