Government Flying Service (GFS) is a one of the disciplined services of the Government of the HKSAR. They provides an search, rescue, emergency air ambulance and other non-emergency services in the air. The GFS also supports other government departments when they needs. The GFS has expanded its Air Medical Officer support programme to include more specially trained doctors and nurses, who volunteer their services over weekends, Sundays and public holidays to provide specialist trauma and emergency treatment to the patients.
